Select System |
At the Orifice Tube the refrigerant is forced to flow through a fine restriction. This causes a pressure drop and a temperature drop in the refrigerant entering the evaporator. |
DIAGNOSE |
There are no moving parts to the Orifice Tube. As long as it isn't clogged, the Orifice Tube will function normally. |
REPLACE |
This should be done by a qualified technician only. The A/C System needs to be evacuated first. A machine is used in most cases to remove any existing freon from the system. For Vehicle specific removal procedures and diagrams get an Online Repair Manual |
