Air ConditioningComponentsRelay

Air Conditioning Relay:

When the A/C is turned on, Battery positive comes from the air conditioning fuse then to the low pressure switch. If there is an adequate amount of freon in the system the low pressure switch will close(connect the two wires) and send power to the Air Conditioning Clutch Relay signaling it to engage the clutch on the compressor with a battery voltage.

DIAGNOSE
make sure the relay has battery power and ground and then apply power to the switch side to see if it contacts and test for power on the other side going to the compressor.
If you do have 2 positives, a good ground but do not see power leaving to the compressor clutch you will need to replace the Air Condition Clutch Relay.
REPLACE
Simply pull upward and insert new one in same position. Exact locations can be found in the owners manual. For specific removal procedures get an Online Repair Manual
AIR CONDITIONING HOME REPAIRS AND TESTS
